Scope Estimator
An interactive tool that helps prospective clients estimate project scope and see which engagement tier fits their project.
A self-directed concept project built to demonstrate our approach to practical, client-facing tools — not a real client engagement.
Prospective clients don't always know what tier they need
This is the kind of problem clients bring us before a project even starts: they know roughly what they want to build, but not what it actually takes to scope, price, or plan for it. We built this as a self-directed concept to explore a lightweight way to help someone answer that themselves, in a couple of minutes, before ever getting on a call.
A short questionnaire, a simple scoring model
The tool asks a few plain-language questions — what kind of project it is, which features it needs, and how urgent the timeline is — and maps the answers to a recommended tier, using the same three-tier structure (Starter, Professional, Enterprise) already on our pricing page. It's intentionally simple: a transparent, rule-based scoring model rather than anything that needs a backend or user accounts.
- Single-page tool built with vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — no framework or backend required
- Plain-language questionnaire covering project type, feature needs, and timeline
- Transparent, rule-based scoring model mapped to our real Starter/Professional/Enterprise tiers
- Instant result, no page reload, no data collected or stored
What we used
Vanilla HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — deliberately no framework or backend for a tool this small, consistent with how we scope real client work to what a project actually needs.
A working demonstration, not a deployed product
This concept isn't in production and doesn't have real usage data to report — it exists to demonstrate how we'd approach a small, focused, client-facing tool: understand the real question someone's asking, keep the logic transparent, and avoid over-building.
- A working, interactive tool you can try, not just a mockup
- Demonstrates our approach to small-scope, front-end-only tools
- Uses the same tier logic that's live on our own pricing page
